It’s been a long while since I have been anywhere near this blog. Did I say something about not wanting to be one of those people who has a blog and never updates? LOL That’s me!
Well, 2005 ended well and now we enter 2006. I am so excited. I love new, fresh starts. It is always easier to start fresh at the beginning of a new year. I know that every day we are given a chance to start something new and exciting, but we usually wait until Sunday/Monday (whenever YOUR week begins) because it just feels right.
I have been on point with my weight loss efforts. I have exercised for 3 of the 4 days (and will have that 4 of 4 by this evening) and
I watched “The Biggest Loser” marathon this weekend. It was so awesome to see the transformations that took place over a six-month period. It got me even more excited to see what I will be experiencing on my way back to goal.
I realized that I have gained 20 pounds in the last year. I cannot believe that I let it get so crazy. From 2004 to 2005, I gained 10 pounds. From 2005 to 2006, I gained 20 pounds. If I continue on this path, I will gain 30 pounds this year! HA! NO WAY! I will be RELEASING 30 pounds this year, with the goal of losing 30 by March. I know that I will do it.
Here is why: I am committed to remaining focused on the things that I will gain from releasing this weight instead of the daily tasks that I have to do to make this happen. Last night, for instance, I went to our 2-$1000 Nordstrom Shopping Spree giveaways. They were serving TONS of boxes of See’s Chocolates. I love See’s! Well, I knew that they were going to have chocolate, so I brought a bottle of water and a 100 Calorie pack of Chips Ahoy Thin Crisps. It did it’s job and I was totally satisfied and proud of my accomplishment. This morning, I got up late and still made time to pack some healthy meals. I also decided that I will get my workout in this evening before watching “The Biggest Loser: Special Edition.”
Here’s the payoff: I weighed in on January 1, 2006 at 193.0. This morning, I weighed 190.6. This is great!
I am looking forward to the success that I will achieve in this next year in the other areas of my life: personal development, finances, relationships with others, creativity, spirituality, contribution/volunteering and my Mary Kay business.
Speaking of Mary Kay, my new car is to be delivered in just a few days. I can’t wait to zip around town in my FREE car.
